Dr. Christopher Aysom is a Chiropractor with a special interest in chronic pain conditions. Dr. Chris founded Apex Soft Tissue & Spine to further his interests for diagnosis and non-surgical care of chronic injuries. Having also experienced chronic back pain that eventually resulted in surgery, Chris has empathy for those struggling with unresolved symptoms. He is driven by a desire to help those that are still looking for answers in solving their long-term problem.
Chris Aysom completed a three-year Bachelor of Chiropractic Science (BChiroSc) followed by a two-year Masters of Chiropractic (MChiro) at Macquarie University. During this time, Chris was also a qualified Remedial Massage Therapist and pursued more specialist soft tissue training.
On a constant journey toward clinical excellence, Chris sought training and mentoring from world-leading experts in diagnosis and treatment for chronic musculoskeletal conditions. He is the first certified Adhesion Release Methods provider in Australia and one of the few practitioners globally to be trained in Shockwave therapy (Radial Pressure Wave) under the Integrative Diagnosis® framework.
“The public perception of a Chiropractor is often viewed as someone that just manipulates joints. In my practice that couldn’t be further from the truth. My role is to effectively diagnose and treat musculoskeletal conditions. A detailed diagnosis must come first and then an appropriate treatment can be guided by the reality of the problem.”
