Before deciding what to examine or how best to help, we believe it’s important to first understand your story — what you’ve experienced, what you’ve tried, and how your symptoms have developed over time.

There are two ways to start with us as a new patient.

Online Consultation.

This is a dedicated online consultation via Zoom where we take the time to understand your history, review relevant investigations and begin developing a working diagnosis.

This meeting focuses on the diagnostic thinking first, before you come into the clinic for examination & treatment.

By the end of the 30-minute consultation you’ll have a clearer understanding of:

The examination and treatment visit is 60 minutes ($250). Whether starting with the online consultation, or the combined in-person visit – the cost is the same.

Have past scans?
If you have digital access to previous imaging, you’re welcome to send it through before your consultation so we can review it beforehand.

In-Person Consultation & Examination.

This is a consultation and physical examination in our clinic, allowing us to combine your history with a hands-on assessment of your presentation.

We’ll begin by reviewing your history, before performing a physical examination based on what we’ve learned.

This option is ideal if you’d prefer to combine the consultation and physical examination in your first visit.

Please note: In-person appointments are subject to availability and may not always be available to book online.

"I want to start in-person, but it's currently Unavailable"
We’re able to offer a limited number of in-person consultation & examination appointments because they are longer appointments and can be more difficult to fit into the schedule.
This is one reason we offer the online consultation. By taking the time to understand your history, review any relevant investigations and begin developing a working diagnosis beforehand, it is usually easier to schedule the examination and treatment appointment that follows.
If an in-person appointment is currently unavailable, starting with the online consultation is often the quickest way to begin.
Does it cost more to start online?
No. The total cost is the same whichever way you choose to start.
If you start with an online consultation, you’ll pay $75 for the 30-minute online consultation, followed by $250 for your 60-minute in-office examination and treatment appointment.
Total cost: $325.
Alternatively, you can start with an in-office Consultation & Examination appointment for $325. The difference is simply how the process is structured. There is no financial advantage or disadvantage to choosing either pathway.
What happens after my online consultation?
Will I receive treatment at my first appointment?
If you are attending the clinic for a combined Consultation & Examination appointment, we aim to conclude the visit with an initial treatment where appropriate. This can depend on the complexity of your presentation and the time required to properly understand your history and complete your examination.
If your first visit is an online consultation, there is no treatment. This is a dedicated online meeting designed to understand your presentation, review relevant information and prepare for your in-person examination. Your physical examination and any initial treatment, where appropriate, take place during your following appointment at the clinic.
How soon can I book my in-person examination?
What if you don't think I'm suitable for your approach?
How do I prepare for my consultation?
The most important thing you can do before your first appointment is complete your New Patient Intake Form at least 48 hours beforehand. This gives us time to review your history and any relevant information before your appointment.
If you have copies or digital access to previous diagnostic imaging or other relevant investigations, please send these to us ahead of time so we can review them as part of your assessment.
If your appointment is online, you’ll also need a reliable internet connection and a device with a camera, such as a smartphone, tablet or laptop. Please choose a quiet, private space where you can speak comfortably without interruptions.
Can I use my private health insurance?
For in-office appointments, eligible services can be claimed through our HICAPS terminal on the day of your visit, provided your private health fund covers the service.
For online consultations, we can provide you with a formal receipt that you can use to submit a manual claim to your private health fund. However, Australian health funds vary in their coverage of virtual or telehealth consultations for manual therapies, so we recommend contacting your specific provider before booking to confirm whether your extras cover includes online consultations.
If your fund does not cover online consultations, this does not affect your ability to claim eligible in-office services.

NEW PATIENT BOOKING POLICIES

ONLINE CONSULTATION
Pre-payment: Your dedicated 30-minute online consultation is $75, payable at the time of booking. This payment reserves the appointment time exclusively for you.
Rescheduling / Cancellation: We understand that plans can change. If you need to change your appointment, we ask for at least 24 hours notice so we can offer the time to another patient.
💠 Your online consultation can be rescheduled once, provided at least 24 hours notice is given.
💠 Cancellations or changes made with less than 24 hours notice mean the $75 consultation fee cannot be refunded or transferred.
Missed Appointment (no-show): Non-attendance without prior notice will result in the loss of the $75 consultation fee.
IN-PERSON CONSULTATION & EXAMINATION
Deposit: The total fee for your in-office Consultation & Examination is $325. A $100 deposit is required at the time of booking, with the remaining $225 payable at your appointment. This appointment is allocated approximately 80 minutes to allow sufficient time for your consultation, physical examination and, where appropriate, initial treatment.
Rescheduling / Cancellation: Because of the extended appointment time and the preparation involved, we ask for at least 48 hours notice if you need to change or cancel your appointment.
💠 Your in-office Consultation & Examination can be rescheduled once, provided at least 48 hours notice is given, without loss of your $100 deposit.
💠 Cancellations or changes made with less than 48 hours notice mean the $100 deposit is forfeited.
Missed Appointment (no-show): Non-attendance without prior notice will result in the loss of the $100 deposit.
